No. Topup is a thin wrapper around the card issuer's Lightning invoice API. Sats flow directly from your Alby Hub to the issuer — Topup never touches your funds, never holds keys, never KYCs you. The whole app is client-side and open source.
You need any Lightning wallet to pay the invoice, but Topup is designed to integrate seamlessly with Alby Hub via NWC (Nostr Wallet Connect). One-tap pay, no QR scanning required. Get a Hub at albyhub.com — it's free and one-click to set up.
